What You’ll Do
- Preparation of civil designs and CAD drawings for a range of projects, including but not limited to:
- Stormwater Drainage Design (urban and rural)
- Flood control infrastructure design
- Fish compensation habitat
- Water management design
- Road Geometrics
- Coordinate geometry for design layout
- Survey data management (import/export)
- Construction survey review and validation
- Earthworks, grading and quantity determination and reporting
- Generation of contract documents
- Cost Estimating
- Level of work estimate for proposed works
- Occasional field review of sites in and around the local region to support design work
- Meeting with clients and stakeholders to present and discuss project designs
- Provide support and direct to junior CAD staff
- Other related work, as requested by KWL
- The Company may require you to perform the duties of other positions from time to time, depending on changing workload and the Company’s desire to offer continued work to all employees. You shall perform your duties and responsibilities faithfully and with good effort.
What You’ll Bring
- A positive and motivated personality!
- A diploma from a recognized post secondary institution with civil, municipal or environmental related focus
- 10-15 years of relevant work experience
- AutoCAD training and certification considered an asset
- Autodesk Civil 3D training and certification an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and be able to work with team members in a multi-disciplinary environment
- A desire to learn new skills and an eagerness to grow within your role
- A valid driver’s license (in good standing) is mandatory
- Must be physically able to conduct field visits commensurate with project work. This may include handling and operation of equipment, travel to remote areas by vehicle, boat, air or foot, and outdoor site visits in all weather conditions on uneven/varying ground terrain.

Wage Range
$112,000 - $123,000, wage dependent on years of experience
