Join our team as an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer, where you’ll help develop and deploy high pulsed power solutions. Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, you’ll support new product development, enhance existing designs, and provide technical expertise for operations and business initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
- Define project specifications and requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Investigate failures and identify product improvements.
- Design cost-effective mechanical solutions, ensuring reliability through testing.
- Conduct risk assessments and contribute to hazard analysis.
- Specify, procure, and evaluate components and manage vendor relationships.
- Maintain technical documentation within PDM and QMS.
- Provide technical training and support to customers and teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering; registered or eligible with APEGA.
- Experience: 3-5 years in mechanical product design. Oilfield tool experience is an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, PDM); thermal and stress analysis experience is a plus.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations (IEEE, ANSI, CSA, NEC, etc.).
- Problem Solving: Strong critical thinking and ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to present ideas effectively.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
