Job Summary:

The HR Generalist will own all onboarding and HR Administrative duties. Will bring new employees on board and help them transition into their roles within ELM. They will introduce new employees to the company culture, values, and mission. This individual will also be a point of contact and assistant to the functions of the HR Department.

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

Onboarding 

  • Introducing new employees to the company culture

  • Emailing/calling new employees before their first day

  • Managing new hires’ paperwork

  • Helping new hires understand their roles within the company

  • Providing resources and support to new employees

  • Track onboarding progress for completion
  • Monitoring the progress of new employees (30, 60, 90 day reviews)
  • Provide analytical and well documented onboarding reports
  • Any other HR duties as needed


Administrative

  • Assist department with a variety of human resource programs and procedures

  • Perform routine filing, scanning and archiving of records to ensure record retention compliance
  • Maintain HR /Company directory
  • Act as a point of contact for HR and Payroll Departments
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely benefit and invoice payment and tracking
  • Handle employment related inquiries referring complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Assist with payroll and ad-hoc HR projects
  • Complete employee verification

 

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • The ability to work with sensitive and confidential information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar HR role preferred
  • Experience with HR standard software such as ADP WFN a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
