Early Years Practitioner

Nursery: Bright Horizons VIP Day Nursery and Preschool, Shoreditch, EC2A 3LW

Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Salary: Starting from £27,230 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

We are looking for a full time, Level 2 or 3 qualified Practitioner to join our Bright Horizons Client Day Nursery, situated in Shoreditch, London.
 

Our lovely nursery is conveniently situated just a 5-minute walk from Liverpool Street tube station, making it easily accessible for commuters.
 

The nursery has received positive feedback for its engaging environment, where children can explore and investigate using various sensory and natural resources like seashells, herbs, pine cones, and coconut shells.
 

The staff are praised for their excellent communication skills and meaningful interactions with the children

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
• Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
• Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
• Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
• Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis
   

What we’re looking for

• Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)
• Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
