Early Years Educator Apprenticeship - The Marston Nursery

 

About the employer:

 

We believe in encouraging a child’s development through real life, hands on experiences with outdoor resources where possible. That’s why we’re excited to be developing our own landscape garden to give little ones the extra outdoor space they need for adventures. Currently under construction, the finished
garden – currently a work in progress – will feature a fantastic range of play resources including willow domes, earth mounds, play puddles and a firepit. The children will also have access to a dedicated allotment space where they will learn all about growing fresh produce.

 

Overview of role:

 

In an Early Years setting, it is essential to provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources tailored to the children's age and developmental stage. This includes enhancing their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional development, ensuring their holistic growth. A key responsibility is assisting in embedding an effective key person approach, which helps children form secure attachments and fosters a sense of security. Equally important is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff member, parent, and visitor at all times. Collaboration within the team is crucial to support all children and colleagues, while ensuring that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are consistently met.

 

Key details:

 

  • Hours: Monday to Friday (shifts tbc), 38 hours per week
  • All Year Round(52 weeks per year)
  • Wage: £7.55 per hour
  • Location: Marston Business Park, Lower Hazeldines, Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire, MK43 0TF

 

Apprenticeship details:

 

  • Qualification: Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship 
  • Duration of course: 19 months 
  • Training Provider: LMP Education (Rated No 1 Training Provider!)
  • All learning delivered online/ remotely alongside role.

 

Full Duties and Responsibilities:

 

As Early childhood Developer Apprentice you will support children between the ages of 0-5 in their development and care.  Work to Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children that are appropriate to their age and stage of development, whilst also enhancing daily needs of children.

 

You will be supported to complete a formal apprenticeship and 20% of your working hours will be spent on your knowledge, skills and behaviour development.

 

  • Learn whilst Working

  • Enhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional development

  • Work within a team to support all children and team members within your room
  • Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the Early Years Curriculum are met

Qualifications Requirements:

 

  • GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) English (Grade 4) essential
