Dietary Aide

 

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide/Server provides service in the dining department of the nursing home, assisted living, memory care and Independent Living. Maintains high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and neatness in assigned areas. Assists in food preparation. Reports to the Director of Food Services.

 

Skills and Abilities:

 

Will be trained in dietary equipment, as with the ability to learn operation of equipment and simple food preparation tasks as needed.

 

Education and/or Experience:

 

Ability to read, write, speak, and follow written and oral instructions. Previous Dietary Aide experience a plus but is not required.

 

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Sets up trays for patient food service following the individual plan of care.
  2. Performs restaurant waiter tasks including table setting, order taking, food delivery and clean up.
  3. Assists in food preparation as needed.
  4. Assists in cook duties as needed.
  5. Works in collaboration with the nursing department to ensure resident needs are met in the NH,AL,MS.
  6. Other duties as assigned.
