Job Description

Job Position: Certified Medical Pedicurist

Location: Dallas/Plano

Reports to: Practice Administrator

Job Description: Responsible for performing a medical grade, safe, hygienic pedicure for patients. Β 

Responsibilities:

Before Clinic:

___Arriving to work on time per the staff schedule

___Print patient schedule for the day

___Reading and responding to emails

___Prepare pedicure room and supplies needed for the day

___Check to make sure all notes from the day before are completed

During Clinic:

___Knowledge of OTC products

___Knowledge of abnormalities that would require treatment by a provider

___Skill set for nail debridement

___Knowledge of using and cleaning a vacuum dremel

___Skill set for removing superficial calluses

___Knowledge of Medicure steps:

  1. Examine toenails and feet for abnormalities
  2. Clip, shape, and smooth toenails
  3. Smooth any calluses
  4. Clean and exfoliate feet
  5. Moisturize

___ Running an on-time staff schedule, keeping Medicure 30 minutes and under

___Assist medical assistants as time allows

___Other duties assigned

After Clinic:

___Refill/Restock and used supplies

___Enter Medicare notes, enter charges, assign to rendering provider for sign off

___Count and sterilize personal instruments

___Reading and responding to emails

___Clean-up work area and pedicure room

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting

Other Qualifications:

  • Works well individually or in a team setting
  • Must be customer service focused
  • Must have the ability to multi-task and complete assignments in a timely manner
  • Committed to continuous performance and improvement
  • State of Texas Manicurist License preferred

Travel:

  • Local travel may be required to other site locations

Education:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Certification for Medical Pedicurist (preferred)
  • Texas State Cosmetology License (preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant
