FTE £28,000 - £34,000 

2.5 days a week Pro Rata is £14,000 - £17,000 per annum

Your Role - Making an Impact as an English Tutor

Are you passionate about the power of words and their ability to shape futures? As an English Tutor at our Wednesbury Training Centre, you’ll ignite a love for learning in your students. Through dynamic lessons and engaging activities, you'll help learners build essential English skills that will support their academic success and future careers.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deliver inspiring and effective English lessons (Functional Skills & GCSE) to a diverse range of learners.
  • Create interactive, engaging sessions that bring language and literacy to life.
  • Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to support progression.
  • Foster excellent student attendance and engagement, intervening where needed.
  • Ensure student welfare and uphold safeguarding standards while promoting British Values.
  • Conduct assessments, reviews, and mock exams to ensure students are qualification-ready.
  • Manage administrative tasks effectively, maintaining accurate records and reports.

What We’re Looking For: We want someone who is:

  • Experienced: Skilled in teaching Functional Skills and GCSE English.
  • Creative: Able to design engaging lessons that inspire and motivate learners.
  • Supportive: A natural rapport-builder who nurtures students' confidence.
  • Organised: Efficient in managing time, tasks, and resources.
  • Flexible: Willing to adapt and provide support where needed across the centre.

What You'll Bring:

  • Proven experience in delivering impactful group training sessions.
  • A deep understanding of student needs and effective intervention strategies.
  • Strong IT skills to support teaching and administration.
  • A positive, motivated attitude with a drive to see students succeed.
